Sachkhand Sri Harmandir sahib ji
I want to remember the events, sacrifices, adversity and overcoming of ignorant rampage. I want to remember the meditation, the sevaa and unconditional love. The individuals, the kirpa that blessed us with the darshan of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib ji.
My latest visit to Harmandir Sahib was a personal experience.
There is beauty and reason for every amazing and often overlooked detail.
Whilst creating this art and sculpting away I felt that although each art creation has challenges. This was the one which was difficult. In that, how do you create something of a place so energetic, so perfect.
After several days I further learnt about self-restraint in art as well as many other things.
Through research and in contemplation, in creation I understood more about the message through the architecture.
Harmandir Sahib doesn’t need strings of lights, helicopter rides, excessive flowers or fireworks.
We must remember and engrain the initial motivation. What was it that caused the creation. What was the journey Guru Ji took to get us to this stage? is our current action appropriate to the preservation of this.
Like a black and white video, a window to the past and future. For the skies above were a place to observe the universe and the Sarovar, the Gurbani, Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the universe within.
