Joyti Kaur is a contemporary British-Sikh artist known for her distinctive scratch art that explores spirituality, nature, identity, and universal connection. Her work is intuitive and meditative, guided by what she describes as the rhythm and “music of the universe,” making each piece deeply personal and reflective.Since 2016, Joyti has used art as a tool for healing, education, and social reflection. Alongside her studio practice, she leads workshops, public art projects, and community initiatives, engaging people of all ages and backgrounds. Her work and projects have been featured by platforms including the BBC, Sikh PA, and Basics of Sikhi, and she has collaborated with organisations such as RSPB and Slough Museum.

 

Dedication

 

Joyti’s creative journey is dedicated to her parents, whose support and influence continue to shape her life and artistic vision.Her practice honours the relationship between humanity and nature, echoing a time when art was an integral part of everyday life. Each artwork is created with the intention of empowering in connection, healing, and self-reflection, encouraging viewers to reconnect with themselves and the world around them.

 

Milestones

 

2016 – Began exploring scratch art as a medium to express themes of identity, nature, and human rights.

2018 – Expanded into public engagement through interactive art, workshops, and community-based projects.

2019 – Presented her first solo show, Joyti Kaur Art Expedition, combining exhibition, meditation, workshops, and community participation. Joyti's expedition created opportunities for other artists on open mic nights and also displaying art created by the public. Joyti's expedition was a healing journey featured on 4 major BBC channels and art industry blogs.

2019–Present – Received a YICCA participation award and special recognition from Light Space & Time Gallery for The Blue Winged Bird. Showcased work at public venues and events, including Wembley Stadium and Trafalgar Square. Continues to lead exhibitions, outreach programs, and collaborative projects across cultural, educational, and environmental spaces in the UK and internationally.

2026 and beyond - Joyti continues with her creative health art workshops accessible for all with an expansion of creative services and  continuation of high quality independent art available.
